UP removed SP's old sanding facility silos and conveyors when it rebuilt Roseville Yard. This photos is of the new single sanding silo at the service tracks. The hopper cart rolls above the locomotives to reload the sanding hoses used to fill each locomotive's front and rear traction sand tank. Photo by Paul W.
